TOMMY HILFIGER

AWARD WINNING DESIGN PROJECT, LIVE INDUSTRY COMPETITION WITH TOMMY HILFIGER.

AWARDED THE KINGSTON TOMMY HILFIGER AWARD.

ABOUT PROJECT:

For this project Tommy Hilfiger asked us to produce a 5 look collection, in collaboration with anything, from other brands to influencers etc.

For my project I chose to collaborate with up and coming musician Beabadoobee, who was a rising star at the time (2019). Now she is a star on the music scene and known by many. I decided to produce a collection that drew on Beabadoobee's personal style and music. Taking further inspiration from Jonah Hill's film 'Mid90s' and the general skater scene from the 90s.

Both of these themes proved drew from my two loves- music and film. Which i believe when combined with fashion allow one to produce truly inspiring and original work. The three are so synonymous that the ideas flow and become one.

For this project, which additionally acted as a competition within the second year of my studies I was awarded the first place, 'Kingston Award', which granted me a 12 month internship with Tommy Hilfiger in Amsterdam. However, due to the global pandemic, i was unable to travel for the internship.

This collection acted as a spring board for me and solidifying my own design aesthetic and space as a designer.
